The Co-op Bank in Brighton is wonderful. The staff are always friendly, welcoming and helpful, no matter who you are. The staff on the phone helpline are just the same, ready to help with any problem we, the customers, might have, although it is one of the few banks, in my experience, that actually give you their local number to call also. I've only been with them for 7 years, but would never change banks. The big problem for me is that I am disabled and there is only the one branch, very far from my home. That's the only drawback. Please open more branches in Portslade and Hove !!!
but PSC along with 20 local groups working for Palestine (including 10 PSC branches) have had their bank accounts unilaterally closed by the Co-operative bank. The reason? The Co-op bank say they've changed their "risk appetite". Apparently Palestinian human rights are too "risky" for the Co-operative bank. This is disgusting for a so called ethical banking. I will have to think seriously about staying with you.

Amazing. I went here a few years ago and had the best treatment/filling of my life. My tooth was rotten and the old filling was replaced by a white one. The dentist (David, the male owner of the practice) made sure the anesthetic reached my nerve and wouldn't begin until all feeling was gone. I have had a fair few fillings and this was the only filling I ever had that I couldn't feel having done. I was so at ease and the dentist was meticulous and spent all his time and effort making the filling look like a regular tooth. I am usually NHS but this was the best £300 I ever spent. I still show people my filling because I still can't believe its one, it looks so amazing. It was a big job and David was concerned I may need a root canal. But 4 years on I have had zero problems with it. Thank you so much! So glad I came across this practice.
David and the hygienists are great. Receptionist has an attitude problem and likes to argue about treatments she knows nothing about

I have been with this practice for over 30 years, & in all that time I've received the best possible care & attention from all concerned. Everyone there always seems so happy that you come away feeling you've just had a jolly good catch up with friends. Recently I had to bid a heartfelt farewell to Alan Walder on his retirement, & thought I would never feel so confident with another dentist, but his replacement Lynsey Crothers has proved otherwise, she is full of warmth, very professional, with a very caring & gentle attitude. So just keep doing what you've always done . Thank you each & every one of you
I took both my children here to see Ilias the dentist. He was so friendly and welcoming that they simply jumped into the dentists’ chair! I would highly recommend the practice and their wonderful reception of children.

2nd January 2016 Dear Sir NHS Care at Royal Sussex County Hospital, Having just completed a weeks stay (15th to 20th Dec) I would like to offer the following comments in the hope it may help the future direction of Health Services in the Sussex Area. Firstly I have never once dialled 999 in nearly 73 years yet when I did the service was immediate and highly professional. My dispatch 23 miles to Brighton from deepest rural Sussex to A&E was exemplary and the hand over thankfully expeditious. I was in severe pain with and abdominal obstruction and frankly dreading the experience from numerous reports of drunks and addicts attending but thankfully found the place quiet and professional at all times, giving one a feeling of optimism that one was in the right place. Admission was again swift and the ward Floor 9 SW though busy at all times was attentive to every need including pain relief. The bed was comfortable and clean and the medical care superb. I am a diabetic with some medical experience so was impressed at the knowledge and training of all staff involved in my care. I would like to record my personal gratitude to all staff who not only did their contracted duty but went way beyond. At night it was touching to overhear some patients given kindness that can only flow from a heart attuned to inner suffering. At every level from Senior Doctors to trainees from Technicians to Porters the service was terrific and this come from one who last worked in the NHS 50 years ago and who spares the Service by using Private Hospitals. If I had a criticism it would be that the NHS could function even better if it could be more selective in its patients ! With such insanely high levels of self inflicted trauma due to for example drink and drugs the time will surely have to come to prioritise care to those are responsible and able to use NHS resources wisely. Its been a great privilege to use a service I have long contributed towards and find it in such good health contrary to Media reports. Please convey this to whoever might be interested together with the appreciation of both my family and myself. Well done all Peter Barton
My wife's treatment when her Aorta failed was absolutely brilliant. An eight hour operation at half an hour's notice, out of the blue which, without any doubt, saved her life. The whole Cardiac team are wonderful, not just with the surgery, but every single member of the team is compassionate, caring and very professional. I cannot praise them enough. The follow up treatment has also been beyond reproach, with personal unhurried attention from everyone, including the very top man. I must also praise the A&E department at PRH Haywards Heath, who detected the problem when she went in with chest pains, and got her down to Brighton in the nick of time. Those who critise the NHS should look at the bigger picture. If this had been in America I would have had to sell my house to pay for it, and them some!

A great shop where you can find all sorts of second hand bargains. They have a large selection of furniture and a lovely little clothes shop at the back.

We had a very good team in Coldean this summer, both for public and private refuse collections. The crews are friendly and are hard working too. We really appreciate the hours you put in. Thank you. ;)

There is a great selection of rich and interesting food for all; whether you're looking for top end vegetarian cuisine or just a hearty twist on home cooked food you'll be happy with the range of choices. Filling and delightfully appetising, this restaurant will surprise you at how little it matters that all the food is totally vegetarian.
Probably one of the best dining experiences I've ever had in the UK. I had the soup to start and the Rosti Revisited for my main (Which was amazing and I cannot praise it highly enough). It is a vegetarian restaurant but please do not let this deter you from visiting as their chefs have created a complete menu with no feeling like components are missing. It was a great experience and I thoroughly look forward to returning with friends again. Being Brighton they naturally accommodate all food allergies and intolerance without skipping a beat (I do not personally have any allergies but a member of the party did).

The staff are lovely. The food looks amazing but sadly lacks in flavor and substance. I had the ballotine of chicken to start, the chicken lacked any taste, it had the texture of a lovely piece of moist chicken but no flavor. I felt let down as on the plate it looked brilliant. My partner had the Venison which was delicious. For main I had the pork loin in a mushroom crumb, pork belly which had been cooked in a water bath and celeriac. Why cook belly of pork in a water bath, it took away all flavor and the texture was a disappointment and rather unpleasant. I found the pork loin didn't have any depth to the taste and the celeriac was not memorable. My partner had the assiette of winter birds. The duck was heavenly, full of rich warm oomph, the guinea fowl and pigeon had been slow cooked for I think 30something hours and sadly the taste resembled processed ham. With the mains it felt that they had a water bath so had to use it. The pork would have been so nice with a big knob of butter and crunchy fat. For dessert we had the cheese board, why there is a £2 supplement was beyond us! The cheese's are a lovely selection of local produce. I had the chocolate cherry desert. The mousse was amazing and so were the cherries which had been soaked in liqueur. The cherry sorbet was extremely fragrant and far to similar to source shower gel, the little pieces of brownie also didn't have the riches of a dark chocolate so were rather disappointing flat sponge. We were so excited to come here. We did have a lovely evening but left feeling that we wouldn't come back, nor would we recommend it to friends. There are many more exciting place to eat in Brighton. Maybe the plates aren't quite as pretty but they follow through on flavor.
Great food and pleasant dining experience - a little formal/traditional to what we normally go for. Was a little out of the way but there was a trendy bar in close proximity which the staff recommended based on the amazing cocktails (The Black Dove), so all in all a great night.

Slow service full of excuses. Relatively small portion sizes for the price. Don't forget to remind waiting staff your orders as mine was totally forgotten and only been realised 40 minutes later. Not something we wanted on 1st visit Although made a good recovery once mistake realised food came very fast and tasty. Only plus point is good atmosphere and location.
Tasty food. Good ambience. ..food is slightly overpriced

Wonderful place - a hidden gem of a campus in the middle of Brighton with some lovely modern buildings among the traditional Victoriana. Pupils appear bright, polite and charming. One of the most impressive academic reputations in the UK.
