Two of my three children attended Robins, prior to relocating to Devon. I was sad that my youngest didn't have the experience that her older siblings had. We visited about six nurseries in Hove and knew immediately that Robins felt like an extension of our home. The staff's approach to caring for, and nurturing children was so practical yet warm. Their experience and understanding of children and early years development was always evident yet didn't impede their nature around the children. The space is unusual yet bright and engaging and completely child centred. I recall donating to the mud kitchen before our departure! I love looking at their leaving books and I feel that my confident and self assured children who are now 10 & 8, owe much to their time at Robins and it certainly helped shape who they are today.
My daughter went to Robins for two years and loved it. We had just moved to Brighton, she visited several other nurseries with me and kept crying and hanging on to me. At Robins she started playing immediately and almost forgot I was there on her first visit. The staff is absolutely wonderful. They felt like family - but highly qualified and knowledgeable. They helped my daughter grow and learn whilst having a lot of fun, and helped me too, as they are all so experienced. The atmosphere in the nursery is calm and stimulating, and every child is made to feel special. Lovely nursery and people, can't recommend enough!

I've never seen any other nursery involving children in that many activities than Young Friends Nursery! My little one loves mornings when she knows she's going there, comes back with so much to talk about. Would recommend this nursery!

If we would not have moved, our daughter would still be in this nursery! The most friendly and caring staff, special requests are taken into account, daily notes with info about your child... I hear a lot of complaints from mummy colleagues about their nurseries, that notes and pictures are unavailable, clothing not adjusted according to weather.... we never had issues like this from the excellent settling in time to the last day! Highly recommended!
In almost two years of taking my son here I've not had any one to one feedback on his progress, with each day's report sounding identical to the last. The nursery is happy to take your money, but the minute you need them to be flexible around a one off situation you'll find it near impossible to get them to help. Oh and if you intend on taking you child here I'd invest in a stop watch, as you'll get charged if you drop him in a minute before your agreed time. Does the fact you often pick him up early count for anything? No. Overall my son seems to enjoy it there - but how it gets on there, what he's good at and how he's developing I don't have a clue...

Windlesham is a very positive and nurturing environment for children from nursery through to year six. My daughter started in nursery and my son is in year six. The teachers throughout the school show a genuine interest in each child's needs. Its a wonderful community of families too, with a village school feel in a busy city. A perfect preparation for life.
I've had children at Windlesham for over 13 years and they have enjoyed it immensely. They have made great friends and been very happy. The swimming pool has to be their favourite feature. One child has had plenty of help with his dyslexia and, through this assistance and preparation, he has made a happy and successful transition to senior school.
